Hearty Sugar Free Spaghetti Sauce

As I was making spaghetti last night for my daughter's birthday dinner, I realized I was out of spaghetti sauce (oops, maybe I should have thought ahead a little).
I have a recipe that I usually use but wanted something a little heartier this time so, I came up with another one that I like even better!

It is sugar free and an "S" for Trim Healthy Mama's.

Sugar Free Spaghetti Sauce

1lb ground beef
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1 12oz can tomato paste
12 oz water (use tomato paste can)
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp italian seasoning

Brown ground beef in a skillet and when almost done add in the garlic. When browned, drain the grease if needed and return to skillet. Turn heat to simmer and add the rest of the ingredients, stir to mix well and simmer until you are ready to use it.
If it simmers too long, it will thicken and you might want to add a little more water - it is up to your preference.

Serve over Dreamfield's pasta with a salad on the side to make this a Trim Healthy Mama "S" meal.

Blessings,
Rashel
