Now before we proceed I must tell you something. I have come to the realization that my pictures will not ever be professional quality and that's okay. I want to be real with my readers, so if there is something in the pictures, say a jug of milk that goes out for scraps - well, I'm sorry but that is just how it is. I'm tired of worrying about what is in the background of every picture and quite frankly, if I have to clean up my counter just to take a picture, I'm probably not going to take the picture. I don't want anyone reading my blog to ever think that I am perfect and my house is always spotless, because that is far from the truth. So there you have it. Ok, I'm done now, on with the recipe.
This sauce is pretty easy and really doesn't require a lot of ingredients: cream, parmesan cheese, butter, cream cheese and garlic.
You put the cream, butter, and cream cheese in a sauce pot to heat through, stir until melted.
I like to add a fresh clove of garlic, but garlic powder or salt would work also.
I use a whisk just to make sure the cream cheese gets mixed in well.
Oops! I knocked my Dreamfield's box over. When all the ingredients are melted, you mix in the parmesan cheese and simmer about 30 minutes or until your pasta is ready and you can't wait any longer because it smells so good you just have to eat, NOW!
Here is the finished product. Yes, that is a paper plate and a plastic fork - we use those often at lunch because they are so convenient. There, now you know one of my secrets :)
Well, technically you know more than one now because I already told you earlier my house isn't always clean. Goodness, I do hope you still love me!
We had it over Dreamfield's pasta, macaroni to be exact because those were the only Dreamfield's I had on hand. I put a little extra sprinkle of parmesan cheese on top just because I can as well as some pepper.
This is a Trim Healthy Mama S recipe.
Alfredo Sauce

16oz heavy cream
3 oz cream cheese
Heat and stir until melted, then add
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
clove of garlic (or garlic powder or salt to taste)
Simmer on low heat 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
Blessings my friends,
Rashel
Looks great! And I'm with you - I don't clean up to take photos...except I try to take the finished product photo somewhere that looks nice...so it will get pinned. :-)
