Strawberry Limeade GGMS - THM

I wanted to make some strawberry good girl moonshine (A Trim Healthy Mama drink) but the recipe I had used lemons and I did not have any and I like it a little sweeter than most, so I came up with another version and I LOVE it.

Strawberry Limeade GGMS

Isn't it a beautiful pink color?

Here is the recipe -

2 cups water
2 Tbsp ACV (raw apple cider vinegar)
juice of 1 lime
1/2 tsp ginger powder
5 frozen strawberries

Put all of this in blender and mix well then serve over ice.

This is one of my new favorite drinks!

Blessings,
Rashel

*Edited to say that since I posted this recipe, I've learned that Pearl recommends not sipping on this throughout the day due to the berries (the carbs in them). So when I want some, I just drink it in a short amount of time - which isn't a problem because I love this stuff!

  2. How long have you been doing Trim Healthy Mama?

I've been reading. I plan to start after my hubby goes back to work. He's on a two week vacation.

  3. Laura, I have only been officially THM for a week. I tried to learn what I could from the fb group but finally got my book last week. I love it!

Thank you both for stopping by!

  6. This looks so good! I don't have lime, could I substitute something else? Like lemon juice?

  8. Acc is apple cider vinegar, be sure to use raw. Yes, lemon juice would work. Also, remember since this has berries, it is not recommended to sip throughout the day. It is better to consume in a shorter amount of time.
Thank ladies for all your comments!

  9. How much Nustevia is in a packet? Is that the same as NuNaturals?

  10. It is NuNaturals and there is 1/2 tsp in a packet. You can substitute whatever sweetener you like and adjust according to your taste.

  12. Where did you get the awesome quart jar with a handle??

    ReplyDelete
  13. I got that jar at Dollar General, it is plastic! I loved it, but I dropped it on our concrete floor and busted the handle off :(

  14. I thought strawberries were listed as low carb (page 73) and it's only 5 of them?!

  15. Caring about people, I know and that is what I thought when I first made this, but since it has been posted so much on the facebook group, Pearl has stated it is best not to sip all day. I believe it is because the strawberries do have carbs and if you sip all day it might have a tendency to keep your blood sugar slightly elevated.

  19. How about using strawberry extract instead of the strawberries?

    1. I think you could do that, I haven't tried it yet though. I prefer the fruit because of the nutrients in them, opposed to nothing in the extract. However, if I didn't have the real thing, I would try the extract. Let me know if you try it and how you like it!

    1. This is technically an FP, although because it has berries they say not to sip it all day but rather just drink it in a shorter period of time. Thanks for stopping by!

  21. Thank you so much! Love your other recipes, too! Especially the Alfredo Sauce. I couldn't "follow" you on Pinterest from the link on your page, though. It might be an error on their part... Blessings! Carmen

  22. Hi Rashel,
I just started FHM and started following your blog! Thanks for all the wonderful ideas!! I absolutely cannot stand ACV, but I know it is good for you. I just made this drink, and I think I might cut down the ACV to 1TB and then build up, but the drink itself is very refreshing and a great way to get ACV in for the day!!! Thanks!!!

  23. I tried the original GGMS and couldn't handle it...not sure why. When I came across your version, I thought, this sounds good with the strawberries...this is my FAVORITE GGMS and I can't wait to have it everyday. I will say though, that I still have a hard time with 2 tbls of ACV so I have cut it to 1 1/2. Hope that is ok. Thanks again for posting :)
