Time and Money Saving Tip

There are a lot of little things we do to save money around our homestead, doing our own haircuts is one of them. I am the only one in our family that pays to have their hair cut, and I only go about twice a year. It helps that we have very simple styles and are not overly concerned with the latest fad in hair styling.

 We use a pet grooming kit with an additional set of guards. We just choose the size we want and do the same length all over for the boys, dh has his a little longer on the top than the sides. It is really simple and saves us lots of time and money. Not only do we not have to pay for the haircut, we also don't have to take the time out of our day to load every one up and drive to the barber.

 Here is a picture of dh cutting one of the boys hair awhile ago, obviously not now because we are in the middle of winter and this picture is in the summer! I gave the boys haircuts yesterday, but didn't take any pictures, so I added this one. Enjoy.
