Titus 2 - Our Homes #5

Hello my fellow Titus 2 women. I hope you are having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. We didn't go anywhere but have had a nice weekend at home. Dh was off the weekend but had to work today, so I plan to get some cleaning done. We had a wonderful visit with friends last night and since I have been working on keeping up with my routines and decluttering, I didn't have to stress out to clean my house before they arrived. Now, don't get me wrong, it wasn't perfect and I did have some dishes to do and a few things to pick up prior to their visit, but I wasn't overwhelmed by it. Sometimes I let things slide around my home for a day or two (especially when dh is home) and things start to look unkept, but I have found that if prior to those times I have been sticking to my routines and keeping up with things around the house, it makes those unkept times easier to handle. It doesn't take me as long to get the house back in order when it does get messed up. Does that make any sense at all? I hope you understand what I am trying to say with that. Anyway, all of that to say, that because I had been keeping my home, we were able to invite our friends over and have a wonderful night of fellowship.

I know many of you will be spending today with your families and enjoying the holiday and I encourage you to do so! My dh is working and I plan to take advantage of this time and do some cleaning today. For some reason I have the cleaning bug this morning. So, if anyone else is at home with no plans and wants to clean along with me, go for it and leave me a comment if you don't mind. I also want to take today to just encourage you to make sure you start everyday having quiet time with the Lord. After that, do your morning routine and then start on your day's to do list. Trust me, these two things will make your entire day run more smoothly. Remember also to set the timer and declutter whenever you get a chance, even if it's just 5 minutes at a time; it still makes a difference.

Blessings to you all,
Rashel

  1. We already had our fun for Memorial weekend. We did a backyard campout and cooked out and had fun. So today I'm back to my regular routine.

Today I am working on my routines and on some zone cleaning in the living room. I'm also washing all of our towels and sheets and doing my weekly home blessing. I'll post later and let you know how it goes.

    Have a great day!

    Blessings,sara

  2. Hi Sara, it is so good to hear from you. I am glad you had a great weekend with your family. I did get alot accomplished today while the children were at a friend's house. I rearranged part of my bedroom and cleaned that area as I went. I also rearranged my living room and cleaned it as I went. It feels so nice to have a clean home, so relaxing!
    Blessings,
    Rashel
