It feels good to be back

Hi my wonderful friends,
I know I have been away for awhile and I have missed talking to all of you. I haven't been blogging because I didn't feel like I had anything to share with you and I have finally realized why. Yes, I am a little slow at times :) I haven't been having my quiet, devotional times with the Lord. I have still been talking with Him and praying, but I haven't been spending time in His word. It is so amazing how much difference that makes in my life. I was convicted this morning, during my devotion, that I needed to be blogging on here and sharing my struggles, my triumphs and my everday life with all of you. It isn't so I may boast on my accomplishments or complain in my trials, but that I might encourage those that choose to walk alongside me.

I have been struggling lately, but that should be no suprise since I just confessed I haven't been spending time in the Word. I have been struggling with many things and perhaps I will post about them soon, but that isn't what this post it about right now. I have come to realize a few things: first, I have GOT to make time each morning for my devotion; second, I have to get my home decluttered and in a little better order. This second thing may sound trivial to some of you, but I know myself and I can't function to my best ability when my home is not in order. If my home is cluttered, messy or just out of whack - I don't feel as if I can tackle anything else until it is taken care of. Now don't start thinking my home is some spotless, immaculate museum to be in awe of, far from it. Even after I have cleaned it and picked up, it is not and will never be immaculate. I am okay with that, it is our home and we LIVE in it. I just want it to be comfortable, uncluttered and fairly clean. Well, I have been struggling even with that lately but I have decided to tackle it head on. I am going to stop here and make a new post about how I am going to do that (for easy reference later).

I am so glad the Lord has brought me back to blog and thank you so much for all of you that have stuck with me. I truly appreciate the encouragement and friendships I have here.

  1. Hi Rashel,
Good to hear from you. I haven't been posting regularly either. My dilema was more on the homeschooling side. I am taking the time to prepare properly and organize my things to be more efficient. So I took the pressure off myself and let go of most things, making that my priority, aside from quiet time and general mothering duties and such. I hope to get back on track here soon and also hope to share some of what I've learned with others but I'm not sure my website is getting much exposure lol. Oh well. I didn't mean to write a book, I just wanted to say welcome back.
    In Christ,
    Kim

  2. Hey Girlie!

Boy have I missed you! I know what you are going through. My life has been super stressful lately and I know it is because I haven't been looking to the Lord first. This pregnancy has been really hard on me and my family and my home. Sounds like both of us need to refocus and I bet that our lives will get right back to where they need to be. Good to see you again my friend!

    Blessings, sara

  3. Hi Kim,
Thank you so much for your comment and welcome back! Oh, you didn't write a book and even if you would have, I would have enjoyed it!!! It sounds like we have been in a similar situation lately. Maybe you could join in the Titus 2 -Our Homes and use it with organizing your homeschool? I am heading to your website now :)
    Blessings,
    Rashel
