I am finally getting into the Christmas spirit. I don't know why it has taken so long this year, usually I am the one counting down the days starting in October!! Well, since it is Christmas time, I have decided to give something away!! Yes, my first contest!!! I am giving away the book "The Excellent Wife" by Martha Peace. Now, I must confess this book is not a brand new copy, it is my copy, however, it is still in wonderful condition and contains no markings or tears. I just wanted you to know that it is not brand new, it has been read. I hope that doesn't offend anyone.
Want to know how to enter my contest? All you have to do is leave a comment which includes one thing you do to bless your husband and I would also like for you to leave a comment on your blog about this contest but if you don't have a blog, you can still enter. Don't forget to make sure I have a way to contact you if you are the winner. On December 21 I will write everyone's name on a piece of paper and draw out one name which will be the winner. I will post the name of the winner that day. You must enter by December 20, midnight CST. I am so excited about my first contest. Are you?
Blessings,
Rashel
How Exciting! I actually picked that book up in the bookstore yesterday, and now I have a chance to win it! You are so sweet! Well, let's see, here lately one thing I've been doing to bless my husband is running out in the morning while my husband is getting ready for work and I start his car so that it's warm when he gets out there. He's always so thankful for it. I can't wait to see who wins!

Oh, Sara- that is soooo sweet! That blesses me to know you did that! I've been trying to bless my husband by simply being available. Oh, too often I say "hang on" or "just a second" when he calls- so, I've been trying really hard to come right when he needs me, (without grumbling) and without a "hang on". I hope it's a blessing to him!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great book to give away!
How kind of you and what fun it will be. I like contest.
ReplyDeleteHow I bless my husband is by trying to always be submissive, but sometimes it gets hard to do.
If I get into a debate with him,I will stop myself and tell him that I am sorry. I will let him have his way and ask him to forgive me. I tell him that I just wasn't being myself and I did not mean to be disrespectful. I tell him that I love him and I need his forgivness. He always forgives me and gives me a smile or a hug.
He has told me that he was truly blessed to have a wife who does this.
Thanks Rashel,

Two weeks ago my husband was laid off from work. It's an excavating job, so he's outside in all of the weather. He's trying to decide if that's what he wants to continue to do, or if he wants something else. I bless him by being supportive of him in his decision making and reassuring him that I'd rather have him home rather than a million dollars anyday! I really would!!
