Titus 2 - Our Homes #3

Here is our first chosen area assignment:

1. Decide what area of your home you want to work on first. I already mentioned I will be working on my bedroom, it is the worst room and the room I always put off until last - so this time it is first! You can pick whatever area you need to work on the most, it can be a room or maybe paper clutter or homeschool supplies. You just need to pick one area for now.

2. Collect something to put your clutter in. I have to go to Dollar General today anyway, so I am going to see if they have any boxes. If they don't, I will use trash sacks. Use whatever you have, don't stress about it and don't put this off because you think you need a certain container. I plan to have a box for get rid of stuff, one for trash and one for find a home. You can decide what you need boxes for, maybe you just need one for trash because you don't want to worry about a box of stuff to get rid of. You know what will work best for you.

3. Devote at least 15 minutes today to your designated area. Do not obsess about this, just get your timer and get in there. Start on one side of the room and work your way around so you will eventually get to the entire area. When the timer goes off stop! If that is all the time you have, congratulate yourself for taking this step toward blessing your family and thank God for allowing you that time. If you have more time without neglecting something else, set the timer for another 15 minutes and go again. When the timer goes off, stop and follow the instructions I just gave. Only you can decide how much time you have for this without neglecting your other duties, including your children!

4. After you have done your 15 minutes, come back here and just post a quick comment to say you did your Titus 2 for the day!

Remember, we have to do our morning routine before we can start our Titus 2 area!!!

Blessings,
Rashel

  1. Woo-hoo!! I spent at least 15 mins in my chosen area, the bedroom. It is already looking better and I feel so much better getting something done in there. I worked on clearing the floor first, there were some boxes that needed emptied and/or put away. Then I swept! I think that will be all for today because I have some stuff to do in the rest of the house; sweeping, mopping and laundry. Have you gotten your 15 minutes in yet?

  2. It feels good to see you are making at least some kind of difference, even if only 15 minutes worth.

I'm in with you on this too. My whole family needs a total overhaul. This pregnancy has really messed me up and affected my whole family. Not that this baby isn't a blessing, but the early pregnancy symptoms have really wreaked havoc on us.

I'm going to sit down for a minute and work on a basic routine for us, and figure out exactly where I would like to see some major changes. I'm thinking I will start in my bedroom as well, because like you, that is where everything gets put when it has no where else to go, and it would be so nice to wake up to a haven instead of a hectic mess. I'll update here and on my blog later on.

    Blessings, sara

    Blessings to you!
