I made myself a THM
notebook to include all the recipes and awesome resources I have acquired while
starting my Trim Healthy Mama journey and thought I would share it with you.
However, I have to give credit where credit is due and I got some awesome ideas
from Stacy at StacyMakesCents and Gwen at Gwen’s Nest. You should follow those
links and check out their ideas.
I wanted my notebook
to include all the THM recipes that I have been collecting as well as tips,
etc. but I needed it to be in an organized fashion. So I made several sections.
Here are my
sections:
“S” recipes
“E” recipes
“FP” recipes
Drinks
Breads
Tips/Resources
I have pretty
sheets for some of the section dividers and for my front cover thanks to Stacy
and Gwen, see the links above. I love
paper and I love dividers and I love the plastic sheet protectors to keep my
papers clean and neat! I also love sticky tabs. Can you tell I thoroughly
enjoyed making this notebook? Well, I did!
I need to be able
to find my recipes quickly but also to know which type of food I am eating, S,
E, or FP. So what I did is to not only have sections but to divide those
sections using my sticky tabs. Behind my S divider I have sections for
breakfast, main dishes, sides, desserts, snacks, and dips/dressings/etc. I have
those sections behind my E and FP dividers also. So I can easily find an S dessert
or an FP snack idea. Because my sticky tabs came in three different colors, all
of my S tabs are one color, E is another color and FP is another color. Woohoo for color coding!
This shows the side of my notebook and all the dividers. |
The pinkish tabs are my S sections. |
The greenish are E's and FP's are yellow. |
After my meal “type”
sections I have a drink section which includes all the yummy beverage recipes I
have printed out (all types). I also
made a section for breads because I wanted those recipes to be easy to find and
all in one place.
My tips/resources section is for my documents like “what
category each food is in”, the building blocks document, and other helpful
resources from the web. I found most, if not all, of these resources in the
files section of the Trim Healthy Mama facebook group. That is also where I
found a lot of the recipes I have printed off. If you have not joined that group
but want to follow THM, I highly recommend you join now. That is right, go here and do
it now before you get sidetracked and forget what it is you were supposed to
do. Yes, it is that helpful!
I have also
printed out several THM recipes from Pinterest. I do have a Trim Healthy Mama Pinterest board,
if you would like to follow it you can click here.
I hope this
inspires you to get your THM materials organized and quickly accessible to make your
Trim Healthy Mama journey an easy one ~ if you haven’t already.
Blessings,
Rashel

Love this! I have a notebook of sorts, but it is not very organized and certainly not as pretty as yours!

I am having a hard time getting the hang of this whole plan - I think this might help. Thank you
ReplyDeleteMary Ann, I do hope this helps you. Remember, just try to learn one step at a time, it makes it much easier than trying to change everything at once. Good luck!
